Badlao Foundation works amongst the rural
population. Its primary constituencies include
Santhal and Paharia communities, Scheduled Castes
and other families living
“Below Poverty Line”.
After a
few years of dedicated work with
Santhals, Paharias and core people of Mihijam,
Jamtara Block,
Badlao Foundation’s work spread to the surrounding
areas.
By
2002, its activities were spread in 381
villages/habitations in 17 blocks of 6 districts of
Santhal Parganas of Jharkhand.
By
2003, Badlao Foundation had extended its
activities to
481
villages/habitations.
In addition to the Headquarters at Mihijam – Badlao
Foundation has 4 extension centers in
Kewatjali Jamtara district,
Machkol in Dumka district,
Karanpura in Deoghar district
and
Domdih
in Godda district.

Over the years, the
organization has expanded its operational areas in
conformity with its multi-dimensional developmental
works. Now it covers 534 villages of 21 blocks in
six districts viz. Deoghar, Dumka, Jamtara, Godda,
Sahebganj and Pakur of Santhal Parganas division of
Jharkhand state, India.
