In a total of
534 villages, where Badlao Foundation has its presence, 534
Mahila Sabhas presently deliver all three types of functions.
Until the end of January 2008, the number of MS formed was 553
comprising 9000 members (approx). We have laid special stress on
the MS office bearers and Multi-Purpose Workers (MPWs) to
undergo a series of trainings focusing on leadership, local
self-governance, gender sensitization, community development,
etc. These Mahila Sabha units not only participated in the
project activities but also led the organization of various
events like Women’s Day, Literacy Day, Independence Day,
Republic Day, Human Rights Day, and so on.
