Mahila Sabhas
are now omnipresent in the target villages of Badlao Foundation.
These MS apart from delivering CBO and change agent functions
act as Self Help Groups (SHG) also. Under various projects
supported by NABARD, Swiss Red Cross, KKS, ICCO and DRDA the
Badlao Foundation has formed a large number of women SHGs.
Regular meetings of SHGs have been facilitated followed by the
deposition of monthly savings. Moreover, 21 SHGs were federated
at block level and 14 SHGs at district level.
