In the villages
where Badlao Foundation operates, the means of subsistence of
the inhabitants are scant and sources of income are almost
non-existent, resulting to large-scale migration. Thus, through
the programme “Promotion and Development of Projects for 200
Self Help Groups in Dumka and Jamtara Districts”, in partnership
with National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD),
the Foundation has initiated the habit of saving among MS
members and form Self Help Groups (SHGs) in Dumka and Jamtara
districts and to take up Income Generating Projects (IGPs).
