To check rapid
environmental degradation, nursery raising and plantation of
fruit bearing trees are encouraged. These activities are
undertaken on community wastelands/privately owned lands. Fruit
orcharding and inter-cropping and herbal gardening are also
promoted. Herbal garden promotion has helped promoting
traditional practice of herbal medicine in tribal areas.

Plantation of
7887 fruit plants, 42,000 timber and Medicinal Plants and 3500
fuel plants on 295 acres in 18 villages.

Conservation of
plants in 36 villages covering forest area (60acres), in 6
villages, covering common land in 12 villages and covering
private land (211 acres)

Control on
natural resources: Plantation was carried out on 280 acres of
land through M.S. after agreement was drawn between M.S. and
owner of land for use of products.

26250 person
days were created in pond renovation, construction of water
harvesting tanks, repair and renovation of irrigation wells &
development of irrigation wells.

1536 persons
trained on various NRM/Agro/IGP aspects.

Agricultural
promotion works as land development, compost pit preparation,
construction of moisture conservation pit, development of gully
plug and construction of vermi compost pits are done.
