Reproductive
and Child Health, Nutrition and AIDS (RACHNA) Programme with
two important constituents i.e. Integrated Nutrition and
Health Project (INHP II) & the Chayan were implemented in 13
blocks of Jamtara and Dumka districts covering 194 villages with
the aim to improve health of women and children thro’ provision
of reproductive health and hygiene education, improving quality
and availability of health services & advocate for policies to
prioritize needs of poor/vulnerable families. This has helped
the service providers (especially ANMs & AWWs) improve the
quality and coverage of Maternal and Child Health (MCH) services
and key systems including training, supply chain management and
information management.
