To combat
HIV/AIDS, Chronic but curable diseases (common ailments) as well
as Malaria and other fatal diseases, Badlao Foundation made a
prudent effort of empowering adolescent girls to have knowledge
and skill on reproductive health matters with increased
accessibility to modern family planning and reproductive health
services. Awareness on HIV/AIDS was integrally associated with
that. Badlao Foundation worked in Jamtara and Dumka districts of
Jharkhand on Integrated Nutrition and Health Aspect and Chayan
to promote skill/awareness on Reproductive and Child Health,
Nutrition and AIDS. The target population was pregnant/lactating
women, children under the age of 3 years and men and women of
reproductive age. This activity helped in reducing the Maternal
Mortality and Child Mortality Rates, provide reproductive health
and hygiene education, improve quality/availability of health
services and advocate for policies that prioritize the needs of
the poor and vulnerable families. Under such effort following
activities been undertaken :

Sensitized Principals of 32 High Schools in Jamtara &

Imparted training to 60 nodal teachers of selected schools

Helped to organize events on World AIDS Day to create
